“I love you, daddy,” she squeezes him with all the energy her pre-adolescent body can muster, hugging and holding the… adult version of what a promising adolescent from Florida may well could’ve become if not for unGodly hatred.
“I love you more, babygirl,” he answers back, his embrace akin to a sacred vicarious clutch of what his country lost recently to senseless violence. He understands the “target” isn’t on her because she’s female, but the fragility remains nonetheless.
Because, without him, there would be no her.
Looking on with boundless love in her eyes, no one understands this more
than the First Queen.
