Pamper-Her-Friday by Rg2® 325: ‘The Friday Chocolatini Affair’: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (89)

“The Friday Chocolatini Affair”

Is it true your shoulders have begun to feel abandoned?
Have moist-whispers-along-your-neck visits been revoked?
Fed up with the impostor posing as summer love?
Have your primordial desires ever truly been stoked?

Face it, your Friday-after-work sighs have grown longer
The L.A.-back-to-the-Inland Valley commute is brutal,
Even in the opulent BMW you’d rather be a passenger
And all strategies to arrive home quicker prove futile

The “home sweet home” doormat never looks better
than after a week of sparring with ceaseless job demands,
What if a handsome servant arrived only moments after
And gently cradled both your aching feet in his hands

His medical bag he sets upon the living room table
Behold, his pamper-her bag takes its place alongside,
The contents of neither will exacerbate body discomfort
Woman, Dr. Heal/Mr. Thrill is about to turn the tide . . .

Tell me, where does it hurt? So I can gently insert
a cluster of witch hazel-doused gauze betwixt the toes,
Each heel deserves an extended emollient rub
The mahogany device? I won’t yet reveal where it goes

A slow topical solution layered on for soothing effect
Suction cups and a riveting finger-puncture exercise,
Organic-flower balm inspires an epidermal calm
A simple nod of your head permits me to improvise

Won’t you arrange your hair in a Korean-style bun
As I position the fluffed towel beneath your neck’s arch,
With your hand on my shoulder, rest your arm atop mine
Now close your eyes as I engage a double-palm march

From forehand to wrist to forearm to bicep
Exerting pleasure pressure on the tense shoulder blades,
The bundles of nerve endings are loosening their grip
A pang at base of your neck? I’m ensuring it fades

A professional thigh-master am I, like an erotic samurai
On a mission, a welcome duty, for the pamper-her cause,
But before I delve further into my favorite inner region
I suggest we take a strawberry-garnished chocolatini pause

Let’s sip and berry dip, mmm, when it drips from your lips
My job as your summer bather you’ve just upped the fun,
Silky feel the thighs, careful, you’ll awaken a surprise
There’s no question our Pamper-Her-Friday has now begun

(to be cont.)

Pamper-Her-Friday by Rg2® 324: ‘Romance is a Yes Away’: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (88)

The Sarojin Hotel Thailand 2

“Romance is a ‘Yes’ Away”

It’s as if you’re fighting your inner permission
A tortured refusal to oblige my midsummer ask,
Be advised: I’ve the stamina to weather lovers’ attrition
The last romantic standing? Woman, I’m up for the task

I’ve poured myself a zinfandel as I develop this ode
Each man should take time to write to her in solitude,
A mental gander of your face on a wall of my abode
You’ve stirred within me an intensely rhapsodic mood

Have you ever been to Niagara Falls, Canada-side?
The playful mist-drench from the belly of the showers,
There’s romance in the cascading downpour I confide
Could I simply hold you there, in nature’s midst, on hours

A waterfall chase I’m not exactly suggesting we engage
But it’s mystical when water from above meets its floor,
The symphonic roar of that hydro-war sets the stage
for a summer chemistry neither of us has had before

But you’re afraid, I detect, rather reluctantly afraid
Everything in your native power to avoid a yes,
I commend you the strict self-guarding you’ve obeyed
If I represent the third suitor of three risks—I’m the less

And you know it, woman, every ounce of you knows it
There’s reason you haven’t rid your psychology of me,
This living, breathing, intriguing scribe-turned-romantic
My instinct has signaled your restrained inner plea

You, yes, you, woman, you’re absolutely no bit o’ good
to those hat-tossers, social-followers and hapless rose-senders,
None of them is closer to your heart than should
be the one and only writer whose unrivaled tenders

Honor you, so fond of you, I wanna magic wand you
Into the boxcar-deluxe right next to me to Toronto,
The international shoppes we’ll splurge more than a few
They’ll admire the chemistry between the lady and her beau

We’ll make our way to the pristine Northwest territories
Where Mountain Province Diamonds is among the miners,
Rare Earth-produced gems are the stuff of untold stories
Choose one, raw and uncut, I’ll commission the designers

But it’s as if you’re fighting your inner permission
Denying or self-sabotaging(?) our summer’s getaway,
When you’re ready, I’m patient, when you’re truly ready
The waterfalls are most beautiful on Pamper-Her-Friday.

Pamper-Her-Friday by Rg2® 323: ‘The Morning Pamperer Awakens Her’: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (87)

Breeze breakfast

“The Morning Pamperer Awakens Her”

On my drive to work this morning, funny thing this:
I approached a nonproverbial fork in the road,
Veer left and classes await; veer right and on to you
Woman, I’ve decided to put academia on hold

Only a distraction would be my thoughts of you
And I’m a learned man of enviable focus,
But I awoke with your name indelibly on my brain
Conjuring your dreamy likeness with a hocus-pocus

It took over me, this thing you are, about mid-route
My hands steady on the wheel at ten and two,
Michael Franks in my playlist began crooning to boot
Woman, I’m overcome, I just need to see you

I long to put gentle hands on you in the morning air
Breakfast at Tiffany’s is calling us at the ocean’s shore,
Should you feign a sudden fever the job might care
But, come now, you need a reprieve from the office bore

A summer’s morning rendezvous for just us two
Spontaneity, they say, is among the spices of life,
We’ll let it linger into brunch and if it passes through lunch
All the better the realization that our company’s rife

With fun, so much fun, and so much zeal and zest
As I open my motorcar door you helplessly smile,
That quiet search for chivalry, woman, I end your quest
Naturally it comes to me, no need for a romantic file

Mentally stowed away for a rain-or-shine day . . .
Not so, mine are the instincts inbred foreverlast,
Our heritage is one of kings loving queens to convey
for generations hence our past is indeed a sacred past

That it may never die, angel, our summer romance is nigh
We have a date with destiny to the Spanish Isles,
Yes, we’re jetting continent to continent on the fly
And on to Rio to witness the mastery of Simone Biles

Remember, it’s not where you go but whom you’re with
Our romantic options? There’s an endless array,
My weekend has opened itself to you
There’s something magic about this Pamper-Her-Friday . . .

You feel It?

Pamper-Her-Friday by Rg2® 322: ‘Before Summer Ends’: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (86)

Dinner in Santorini

“Before Summer Ends”

What has been your summer’s romance experience
thus far? Have great expectations gone unmet?
How many dates has your calendar been too busy for?
Is there an ask in particular you’d like to reset?

You realize summer can be as unforgiving as beautiful
Only takes one sunset in the arms of a chosen man,
To render the emptiness of summer days now past
A distant memory as we create footprints in the sand

The most stable homeowner can be spiritually homeless
Emotionally and romantically homeless, might that be you?
Canine company, girlfriends and digital flix for company
Why must tender moments of summer love be few?

Woman, I wanna run away with you, go astray with you
Better yet, why don’t you run awry into these arms of mine,
You’ve tried the others but your soul somehow wanders
Because the truth in your heart has already drawn its line

Your fragrance, I wonder, your hidden treasures I won’t plunder
Your trust and my conscience would not forgive me no end,
Hot August nights may intensify two bodies in heat
A cool drink of spring water for this cauldron we’ll fend

Off the pretextual desires but when the asexual expires
Romance is unleashed, free touch radicals are loosed,
There’s only one for whom your body unlocks the gate
Vodka or gin no matter, woman, I’m bringing the juice

Frozen yogurt cocktails are summer never-fails
Romantic acoustic guitar strings for you I’ll strum,
To play an endless rift on you, girl, I’m so adrift in you
Your bottled kisses saved for summer? Damn, I want some

Close your wondrous opal eyes while I unfurl the sails
You and I on the mid-seas, can you feel the breeze?
I wanna hold you topside, the seafarer’s oath I’ll abide
As you recline in my arms, ever so gently I’ll squeeze

I want you to take my captain’s hat and ivory sweater
I’m a privileged co-navigator in your thrall after all,
We’ll sail into the moonlight, sipping mariner martinis
’til the sunrise beckons? It’s your option, your call

Great expectation for summer need not be fiction
Pamper-Her-Friday compels us that it not go unmet,
The dog days of summer we’ll let the others suffer
There’s a romance in August that awaits us yet.
