With office politics and those rigorous hours
To say nothing of your countless domestic chores,
And to learn that your data was stolen on facebook
Seems nothing’s gone right…when it rains, it pours

If I can offer a consolation: It’s spring break eve
It couldn’t have come at any better a time,
I’ve eyed the attractive postings on your Instagram
And if you’ve read a few of mine, it isn’t a crime

To wonder, the mind wonders at visual stimuli
Those eyes, my, those mysterious, enthralling eyes,
They harbor a thousand enchanting hidden love stories
Each one worthy of a novel were I to surmise

Have you ever fallen in love with an anonymous writer?
You haven’t known your heart could be so volatile,
There’s really nothing wrong except trust what you feel
What other man in your universe can elicit a smile

As wide and as long as the one you now wear
Reading this and feeling that it’s written solely for you,
Your assumption is as accurate as any you’ve ever made
Come away with me tonight, girl, we’ll fly to Peru

Moonset dinner by the cliffs, dark mountains appear
In the distance, your resistance to give in to romance,
Is susceptible to surrender to this writer so tender
You’ve never been pampered, woman, give me the chance

You found me on Instagram—this faceless scribe
But you can feel my heart, its beats are your own,
I understand you weren’t looking to fall for a writer
If so, then I suggest you rid yourself of your phone

My letters are ubiquitous but they speak solely to you
Carry me . . . mobile-ly . . . to wherever you go,

I’ve a proposal to make for your consideration alone
Call it a wish I’ve held in need of a grant,
What’re the chances I could be your first spring date?
This new season’s revelation that romance is extant

A concert is enticing, your favored eatery has merit
Brazilian salsa, Chi steppin’—we can dance the night away,
I’ll recite to you my poetry at a quiet neutral site
By moonglow and candlelight, for you the piano I’ll play

But if there’s an outing to augur the essence of spring
Under sunlight a slow row with you on the lake,
A satchel full of sweets and make-your-day treats
The serenity and tranquility will take your breath away

Let me ease you into spring, the start of a new fling
Jasmine-laced honey green tea with brandy hints,
May gently rock the boat but, woman, we’ll simply float
Overcome by the fragrance of honeysuckle scents

I wanna row you straight into the sherbet sunset
We’ll put away the trials of your winter storm survival,
It’s a new day, a new season, time for a new love
Are you ready for a mind, body and soul revival?

The high seas this may not be this time around
Our maiden voyage need not navigate waters less tame,
Your voice I want to hear in the bosom of nature’s still
On the paddles I’ll inscribe the initials of your name

A reminder of this day, should it never come again
So difficult would it be that I accept such a fate,
To have pampered you Friday is forever my memory
This privilege bestowed to me: Your first spring date

Per the March 6th SEC filing, Oprah sold 2.72 million shares of Weight Watchers stock. She sold 2.36 million shares and donated 361,000 shares to her charity. Prior to the sale, Oprah owned 6.3 million shares bought at $6.79 per and she controls options to buy an additional 3.5 million shares at $6.97 per. The stock (ticker: WTW) closed today at $63.38. She’s made about 9 times her initial investment—a nearly $150 million profit. She’ll make even more on the options going forward. Genius, she. And WTW has brought aboard DJ Khaled in a pitch role.

We, too, sold about half our shares. I intend to let the remainder ride and see what Khaled does for the numbers. As long as Oprah’s in, we see no reason to sell altogether. I advise you to do the same.

On General Electric (GE):

GE is the ugliest, most hated, most toxic, most diseased, most heartbreaking, most inglorious migraine-inducing so-called conglomerate in the history of American-born and -bred industrials. Its fall from business-titan grace is shameful if not borderline criminal. Each and every criticism and profanity spewed about it from former/current shareholders and sideliners alike is justified and much deserved.

But this ain’t Enron nor WorldCom.

And that’s why I’m buying as many shares as possible at these firesale prices (just under $15 per) . . . before Buffett gets in.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Pamper-Her-Friday without the “pampering,” would it? So, what do you say we do a bayside dinner at Mindi’s Cove and take in “A Wrinkle in Time” at the show? On the drive up the coast you can tell me how it feels to be the owner of a treasure chest of GE shares that’re sure to bounce going forward—in addition to the WTW shares I sold at 8-times profit in your behalf.

With a little patience, we can hit the jackpot and then celebrate once again on a Pamper-Her-Friday at the end of the rainbow.

The pitter and splatter of droplets on the window
In Southern California hardly ever does it rain,
I want you near me to mark this rare occurrence
All week long has been your fragrance on my brain

This creative romantic writing thing gets harder
and harder, it does, except when I write of you,
The wordsmith comes out, this pampersmith then shouts
Breathing on you night-long until the morning dew

Fogs the pane so thick to fingerscript your name
Hopeful the clouds disallow moonlight to break through,
Rain, rain, don’t you dare go away, please stay
And multiply this Pamper-Her-Friday by two

An extended stay to accommodate our extended play
Woman, we can talk, joke, laugh, and even pantomime,
If it becomes an all-nighter, I’ll be your candlelighter
We’ll get lost in one another with no regard for time

Just come, won’t you come? and share with me some
Slow-cooked jambalaya with the most tender andouille,
With basmati so fluffy and whose grains so fragrant
Once sampled on your palate and you may even chew me

Take me in small bites and let’s indulge in the delights
Of this wet-weather sequester with a sweet table red,
A romantic comedy sounds nice on the 4K device
On my chest, here, come and rest your tender head

It’s a stormy, rainy night in Southern California
On the quilted throws by the fire we’ll lay,
Close your eyes and let the rain fall endlessly
And let me breathe on you, woman, it’s Pamper-Her-Friday
