“Shoes a Crowd”

It’s Pamper-Her-Friday at last, my Sweet
Let me help you with your slippers,
As I kneel before your seated posture
Have a taste of the strawberry dippers

Warmed by a single candle flame
I didn’t bother with the fondue,
Let me feed you lush bites one at a time
These moments have been too few

The table is set, the china’s arranged
I removed the middle plank,
Intimate I crave your talk tonight
We have your shoes to thank

This love affair, a woman and her shoes
I pondered where it all began,
More aesthetic than comfort the higher the heel
Now relax, no need to stand

As I cradle each foot like a podiatrist smitten
To soothe away gravity’s effect,
Exhale the weeklong’s mental debris
I’m your therapy should you elect

To let it all go your body’s overflow
Your pressure points are so tender,
From the tip of toe the achilles will know
Tonight is their sweet surrender

The ache and pain shall cease to remain
My mandate is your total relief,
We’ve got all night, to the morning we might
I promise it won’t be brief

This Friday therapy one foot at a time
The shoes were a lovely sight,
But their purpose is done, I’m ready for fun
I’m pampering you, woman, tonight.

Romance by Rg2®: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (44) “Channeling Sting”

“Channeling Sting”

It’s hard to love a woman
Not arithmetically or scientifically hard
But when she yearns for a lauded novelist
Yet my talents are of a bard

Might a third job be enough
that I may win your devoted sate?
An honest try, my all, I’ll give it
Why must you hasten my wait?

Only to close the velvet curtain
I’m the finalist on your courters’ stage
My beau performance proved just shy
Your criteria in full I couldn’t engage

Say, you had spelled it out in writing
A win-your-heart preface, a simple outline
Your mystery an honor I attempted to decode
A sincere no-thank-you is not unkind

Was there a selfish thrill from my efforts?
Did you consider flattery in my chase?
I swear, I’d do it all again, woman
to see my reflection upon your face

An unsad goodbye we’ll offer as settlement
no resentments, no strings, no tears
A love lost is greater than nary
The bard’s prophetic words he hears:

Perhaps you could have learned to love me . . .
. . . given time.

Romance by Rg2®: ‘A Summer’s Romance’ Collection by Rg2 (43) “A Summer Sanaa”

Sanaa: Thespian Goddess

Sanaa Lathan: Thespian Goddess

“A Summer Sanaa”

It had all the markings
of a summer of discontent
From emotional helter skelter
to the swelter of unrelent

Restless one night and feckless the next
The distance granted me no mercy
A cool drink of glacier water you appeared
Didn’t realize I was so damn thirsty

Quenching, you, so drenching, you
Woman, pour over me like a niagara fall
If you’ll wade in me, I’ll bathe in you
I’m the one man who has the gall

To think mine are the only hands that matter
For simple are my intimate demands
Lie there, still, while I spy there, feel
Welcome to my summer’s romance

So naughty, me, so haughty, you
Woman, come off your horse on high
This stifling heat need not mistreat
Is there something along your thigh?

Oh, my palm, a silly mind of its own
but exquisitely cool to the touch
Your eyes are fierce but fearful they’re not
Unafraid I’ll take too much

Free-will relations with no stipulations
The stars have given us their consent
No work in the morning, I’ll continue adorning
Your bare essence may have me repent

From fingergifts to tonguedrifts to pelviclifts
Ah, woman, the heat is on
We’ll melt from the smother then meld in one another
From sundown to the break of dawn . . . .
